Using Custom or Standard KPIs Instead of Comparative Snapshot

Question:
How can I compare sales from this year to last year without using the Comparative Sales report in NetSuite, which by default sums all Subsidiaries?
Answer:
Using Custom or Standard KPIs are great alternatives to Comparative Snapshots:
1. Click “Personalize” on the top-right where you may add dashboard portlets.
2. Add “Key Performance Indicators (in Standard Content)"
3. When you hover over the portlet this menu appears:
4. Click Set Up
5. Go to “Add Standard KPIs”
If you wish to use Custom KPI’s you will need to add them to your KPI Scorecard Dashboard Portlet first, then they will be available in this menu.
6. Add “Revenue” which is a Standard KPI from P&L
7. Ensure your range matches the following:
8. When you hover over your KPI portlet, you will see a trend graph icon:
9. You can use this trend graph, or you may add one to your dashboard by selecting Personalize > Trend Graphs > Choose Any
