With major enhancements in digital transformation, user experience, security, automation and open platforms, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 9.2 Update 5 (JDE 9.2.5) delivers on all fronts. Let’s review each of these exciting changes in JD Edwards 9.2.5 for EnterpriseOne in more detail.
In JD Edwards 9.2.5, the new Assertion Framework allows the Orchestration designer to define success criteria for data produced by an orchestration (i.e. defined range, specific criteria, etc.). If it falls outside the criteria, the failed assertion will be displayed and can be researched.
Performance enhancements have been included in this release to optimize the way large data sets are retrieved by Orchestrator as well the passing the results to the Orchestration output.
JD Edwards Orchestrator can now upload various content types as part of its ability to use third party services. These enhancements allow the designer to use variables in defining the connector, including the name of the file to upload.
With the enhancement, administrators will have better control over configuration settings between E1 Enterprise Servers and AIS Servers. It also facilitates the segregation of AIS servers across environments and makes it possible for a single enterprise server to serve all environments.
This enhancement provides more options on using system resources to initialize user sessions. For sessions that require UX One components, E1 Search, and form extensions, the system will establish sessions with E1 HTML server and E1 AIS server. If it is not using these features, the system will not establish an AIS session.
This update allows JD Edwards E1 and third-party applications to share data providing a more seamless user experience as well as a more efficient use of shared resources.
This update allows users to utilize a form extension to unhide business view columns as well as add them to a grid without creating a customized form in Form Design Aid. Users can also mark a field as required in a form extension.
In JD Edwards Tools Release 9.2.5, users can now do an exact search match using “ “ as well as export search results to a csv file. The designer of a Related Action can also specify a query and personal form for the application.
Users now has direct access to the JD Edwards Resource Library (www.learnjde.com) from the E1 menu bar. In addition, the help option for E1 forms has been enhanced to allow users to search E1 documentation and UPK documentation separately.
